The Arabic Learning Centre organizes the Madinah Arabic Course into progressive modules that systematically introduce Arabic grammatical concepts, morphological patterns, and vocabulary through the three-volume Madinah Books series.
1. Arabic Grammatical Foundations for Classical Text Analysis
Students master Arabic noun declension, verb conjugation, and sentence patterns through the first Madinah Book. Lessons cover Arabic case endings, gender agreement, definiteness, and basic sentence structures that form the foundation for reading classical Arabic prose and understanding grammatical relationships.
2. Arabic Verb Systems and Morphological Patterns
The curriculum progresses to Arabic verb forms, derived patterns, and morphological analysis. Students learn the ten Arabic verb forms, active and passive constructions, and morphological transformations that enable precise understanding of Arabic verbs in classical literature and religious texts.
3. Advanced Arabic Syntax and Sentence Construction
Advanced modules address Arabic syntax rules governing compound sentences, conditional structures, and exceptional patterns. The Arabic Learning Centre’s instructors teach parsing techniques, grammatical analysis methods, and syntactical relationships essential for independent reading of unvowelled classical Arabic texts.
